View Full Version : Whenever there is a post about
tubular tires, whether it is tubular vs clincher, glue vs tape, etc etc, riders seem to come out of the woodwork with comments, whether the comments are meaningful or not. I cannot wait to read what happens when/if there is someone on the forum riding or thinking about tubeless.

My little brother was getting a lot of flats on his recumbent so he tried a pair of tubeless tires on it. Ouch! A very hard and sloowww ride.
is not the same thing. Before I stopped MBing I ran non tubeless 475 gram tires with some of Stan's goo on CrossMax rims. Both tires were under 30 lbs and it worked very well. I am quite sure that road tires will be designed for high pressure as opposed to fat tires which usually max at 50 lbs. Technology advances, not always for the best. I am still trying to enjoy current technology and old technology (tubulars) and not worry about what may come down the pike. :)
