While my floor pump (Blackburn Airtower HP) works very well, it's gauge does not go back to zero without several taps on the lens. I'm getting tired of the ritual but I don't want to buy another pump. Any recommendations for a tire pressure gauge? Thanks

PS I know that it has a lifetime warranty but who knows where I bought it as it's about 3-4 years old. Chalk up the wear and tear to the frequent pumping of latex tubulars I guess.

Never trust the gauges on the floor pumps. Get an SKS Airchecker. Under $25, digital and will handle presta/schrader.

Topeak D2 SmartGauge seems to have the best reviews on Amazon for whatever that's worth.

I like the Accugage, I have the low pressure on for my snow bike and the regular for the rest.

I have the smaller Accugauge also. What I don't like about it is the pointer drops noticeably as the gauge is removed from the valve stem, probably 5+ pounds.

Now I am looking at a better gauge. Anyone try the Topeak D2? Good Amazon reviews. The Accu-Gage sure is cheaper, though.

I have an Accu-Gage as well.

Works just fine and is pretty accurate in indoor temps.

+1 accu-gauge. bikes, cars, moto.

also, you can prolly replace that "integrated" gauge on your blackburn with any one of a number of aftermarket gauges. they're inexpensive and all you need is some teflon tape to seal the threads. why not upgrade to a silca gauge?

Michelin-branded Wonder Vigil. It's the Rapha of gauges.

I've got a Planet Bikes one...seems well made, but gotta admit that I don't use it much.

Topeak D2 SmartGauge seems to have the best reviews on Amazon for whatever that's worth.I bought the Topeak after reading my own advice. Been out in the garage comparing the Topeak to my old Accu-Gage, and the AG wins. I want to like the Topeak but it loses too much air with a presta valve for my taste.

The AG has the presta valve stem fully inserted within the gauge before the valve core is depressed, so no air escapes.
With the Topeak the valve core is depressed before the valve stem enters the gauge so air is lost.

I'm keeping the Topeak but recommend the Accu-Gage over the Topeak.

My Accu-Gage arrived today and it is about as basic as it gets. I'm anxious to use it this weekend. Thanks for all of the advice and recommendations.

fwiw, i have this and like it a lot. mainly because i can dial in the exact pressure i want with the "tune" feature. so i always just overshoot it with my floor pump, then release air with the D2 until its exactly where i want it. less trial/error than with a dedicated gauge that only reads the current pressure.

I like mine too and have one for road bikes and another for fat bikes that only reads up to 30 psi.

I have been needing one myself. Man the reviews are all over the map. I like that the Topeak does both Presta and Schrader for use with my motorcycles and mountain bike. It has good reviews but does seem to have an issue of letting pressure out on release.

I also really like the accugauge, I mostly use the 60 PSI one for cross and MTB's. I might have got lucky, but it proved that my specialized pump was actually pretty accurate, but thats far from the norm. I really like the release on the accu gauge.

I like the SKS Airchecker, but the rubber seal/grommet gets chewed up by threaded (presta) valves.

For traditional analog units, I prefer the Accu-Gage.
