There was much fanfare about the reduced friction on the 9000 shifter cable but researching, am I correct it is just a SP41? 1 year out and should change rear shifter cable for safety sakes.

Anything else better?

The housing is SP41, the cable is polymer coated.

Nope, they work the best and check the part where it goes into the lever...these levers can eat cables. More than once a year maybe.

So far around every 5000 miles for me for the rear.
At 13000 miles on the group so I plan on just changing it out before symptoms arise at or around 15000.
