Thinking of picking up one of the new Moots Routt frames as it would fit my gravel riding better than my PsychloX so I am pondering selling my Moots RSL PsychloX frame/fork/headset. Not sure what these things go for nowadays.....suggestions?

Thanks!

What size is it? A quick search here would help give a ballpark also.

A Moots retains roughly 94% of its retail price across the life of the bike. ;)

Just kidding of course, but it's amazing how much value they retain compared to other high-end bikes.

As per the link in OP's reply, the range is in the low to high $2K's. With extras (Moots seatpost, stem, etc.) the prices reach into the low to mid $3K's. It really is remarkable how well Moots frames retain their value relative to others. I don't think I've sold a Moots for less than 2/3 of its msrp.

Probably less of a hassle to just get the moots disc fork and have them add mounts in the rear. Unless you're going specifically for the geometry.

Agree. Geometry is really close but something's aren't changeable on RSL.

For the OP, what about the Routt vs the RSL you like?

I like the lower BB and the 1 cm longer HT. IMHO, should be a little lower riding and a bit more stable on the gravel

If ya order one, even stock size, you can get next size up headtube for no extra charge-for info

So, is the base model Psychlo-X no more?

As a counterpoint, If you could live with the 8 mm higher BB of your RSL vs the Routt, you could use a Ti Heads Up HT extender (25mm, IIRC) and keep your frame.

Looks that way..I guess the market is small..so a race oriented cross bike(RSL) only.

The Routt (in size 54) seems to have the same numbers as the 2014 PX. Looks like they eliminated the option for 40mm tire clearance?

I think that is where the Routt 45 comes in:

Gravel and dirt-round and double track-exploring-longer touring-41mm tire clearance.

Duh, didn't recognize it with all the paraphernalia.

Pretty sure the '15 Routt is the same as the '14 Psychlo X geometry-wise. The Routt 45 just has longer chainstays and more tire clearance (which was also an option with the PX).

It's early morning so forgive me...

I am going with "in the bottle cages" :)

So the new Routt is the old PX, and the PX RSL still has a higher BB than the Ritchey with the great paint job. Got it.
