I recently picked up one of the Serotta head badges that were being sold on eBay and didn't realize that is was different than the one on my custom CSi until it arrived the other day. Just curious if anyone knows if the eBay is a "real" Serotta head badge that was used in production or not. Here's the two styles...

My wife's 2005-ish Concours has the 1st style (on left).

You might also be careful of the edge of the badge; the edge on my wife's badge is very sharp. I've cut myself on it before when cleaning the frame.

The one you got from ebay is the same style as the one I got directly from Serotta right before they went under...they gave me a new one because the old one was pitted...weird, cuz there was absolutely no reason for it to have been pitted...

Fwiw, my 2007 Ottrott ST has the same badge as the first picture. My 2002 Hors Cx has the badge with the line down the center, but the badge is all silver...

My 2002 Ottrott is all silver with an inscription around the edge.

They are both Kosher. The left photo is a newer design.

Yep...
When I ordered my Legend in 2003 they asked me if I wanted the new headbadge
but when I felt the sharp edges which did not lay down directly on the tube due to the thickness of the adhesive patch I went with the "S" decal. The dealer's comment was "Yeah... I hear that a lot"
When I later mentioned it to Serotta, they said "I've never heard that before"
Classic Serotta*.

I have never looked closely at my Serotta Head Badges.

This last CSI from 2005 has a 35th anniversary badge - not a 35th anniversary bike. The "S" is similar to Keith's on his bike, but the spacing is slightly different.

This badge on my custom Nove is from 2007, so this badge has been around for a while.
