I have a line on a used bike that is built with 9 Speed Chorus. I am trying to determine a price for the whole and figure the majority of the value is in the group, at least to me. From what I can tell the stuff looks in really good condition. Can you guys give me a value range? Wheels are open pros with some form of campy compatible hubs but not sure what yet.

The wheels are the big determining factor.

The 9 sp. chorus group probably isn't worth more than $300

^^ Agree. $300ish. No more.

the wheels could cost about the same as the groupset depending on what hub is in there and what condition it is in.

Agree on price, but it's still nice stuff.

I have that groupset on my John Hollands and it will likely outlast me.

Have pictures? I've seen some late 9spd chorus groups that are nearly identical (index ring) to chorus 10. I would pay more for the late group vs early.

Good point... I am waiting on pics. I'll include when I have them. All I have seen were bad internet pics and a description

If you use Ebay to check prices then you will have like 250 buck difference with the forums because we are cheap! hahahahaha :D

Now seriously? ebay is more because you have to add fees and shipping and because people at ebay tend to pay more too, but lately hasnt been like that, stuff sits longer lately.

I'm getting ready to post a Record 8-speed group and since it appears to be of value to very few, I'm also preparing to open the Campag Record 8-speed Museum as a not-for-profit alternative.

Here is a shot of the rear hub. Record? From what I can tell the wheelset is matching. Call the condition good. Laced to Open Pro's so nothing I would call super sexy but good and solid. What would you guys say it adds to the $300 or so for the rest of the group?

Yes. If it has the matching skewers it adds $300 easy.

looks like record and looks like the original skewers.
Those hubs polish real easy and they go on fleebay for good money.

That's good stuff there. I've had everything except the electronic (will never ever buy/use it) and the Chorus is one of my favorites. Maybe it was just that it was set up perfectly, but I loved it.
