Anybody know where I can find one?
I swear I saw a new ad for a Kinesis but I can't find it now...

There's always the 1" nashbar option.

Wound up makes one but the 1" steerer option is steel rather than carbon. http://www.woundupcomposites.com/carbon-fiber-aftermarket-bike-forks/team-x-cyclocross-fork

Is that Snackbar fork any good? I wonder who makes it...

I thought about Woundup. I have one on my track bike & it's cool; I REALLY like that the CX steerer isn't carbon - those scare me. If you've ever broken a steerer you'll know what I mean. But $450 is a bit much right now. Although if I had the bread I'd have then do a custom.

Wouldn't surprise me if the nashbar fork is a kinesis. The road, touring and MTB nashbar forks have always seemed to have a decent reputation. They may be a touch heavy, but a good value.

DL, you didn't ask about steel, but.. SOMA has a 1" steel cross fork. It's a wee bit short in the A-C measurement, 389mm vs. the "standard" 395. http://www.somafab.com/archives/product/classic-curve-cyclo-cross-fork

nope, can't be steel.
the recipient frame is pretty light and wimpy; afraid a steel fork wouldn't absorb enough shock & transfer too much to the frame and make it explode.
