Shimano seems to have little or no info on obsolete parts on their site.

Is there a place where you can go, enter the PN and find out what it is?

Or a place other than Velobase that lists vintage Shimano bits?

if its not on velobase i usually just put the number into google, more often than not i can find an obscure blog post or similar on the part.
