Deda Murex quill - how tall are they?

I am about to buy one for a build but there is no indication of height. I think default height is 14cm but the pics make it look short. I think I need something with a bit more vertical adjustment.

I am basing these measurements on a 120mm stem.

Measuring from the insertion line straight up to the center of the black plastic cover plug 75mm.
Measuring straight up from the insertion line to the center of handle bar height 35mm.
Measuring straight up from the base of the wedge plug to center of the black plastic cover plug 145mm.

Thanks ! 75mm doesn't leave much room for vertical adjustment. Odd that it is so short.

100mm is what I was looking for.

I think most of my quil stems are that short. The picture below is a salsa at max extension.

and I mostly can't relate to those who complain that stems are not stiff or solid enough. But as I recall from the olden days, the Murex is about as unstiff as any. Not saying unsafe, just sorta flexy. Want longer quill = Nitto or VO.

i don't think stiffness is everything, but having had a salsa and murex at the same time I can the difference was large.

I have a nice silver stem that is 90 degree rather than -17 so it might get your bars where you want them.

I bought a Soma Sutro quill. It is 14cm tall so plenty of height adjustment

I put one of these on my Ciocc and am happy with it. I like that it has dual bolts so you don't have to thread the bar through. That is my biggest gripe about old school quil stems.

I was receding to the sutro. I've used the murex a few times.

The sutro, hwy 1 and wakizashi seatpost look like a stylish an economical way to finish off a bike.

The Wakazashi post ois really short. So I got the Swayback or whatever its called. One bolt. Also inexpensive. Should be good and sturdy gear for the lugged gravel bike.

They are short. Too short for me.

Their single bolt post looks a lot like the 90s ritchey posts.
