I think everyone saw this coming, given the shakeup at Garmin/Cannondale, but the American Peloton will be getting Phil Gaimon back as he joins Optum for the 2015 season.

Having read his book, and then get a chance to meet him and do a quick ride with him it sucks to see. He's a great guy and I was hoping to see him get more of a chance in the world tour.

i saw this comment somewhere...

"Back to $10/day, huh?"

anyway, i hope he has good success in 2015, especially in UHC's spring Europe campaign. coupled with the US stage races (Cali/Colo/Utah) he could get himself right back to World Tour for 2016.

Optum, not UHC, so no spring campaign for Mr. Gaimon. Optum's calendar is historically North America, with a one or two jaunts overseas.

I've read his book, have listened to his Mike Creed podcasts, and have heard from those in the pro cycling world about Phil. He's an interesting guy to say the least. I'm curious to see where his career goes from here.

right you are on the team being Optum not UHC. slip of the brain.

i wonder what EU races they'll be doing; definitely fewer than UHC did this year far as i know?
