Has any one tried Elite's new design for a stationary trainer?
The new design, incorporating the Crono frame, does not have a tensioner for the resistance roller against the tire. Rather there is a frame that rocks the tire back on the roller to provide tension. This is designed to give a more road like feel for riders of different weights.
My concern is that there might be tire slippage with weight shifts such as when standing. Comments by anyone who might have used one of these would be appreciated.

I have an elite trainer and never had any problems when standing or shifting forward. The only time I ever had a problem was when my rear tire dropped below 90 pounds of pressure, causing a lot of squeaking. I have about 100+ hours on the trainer this winter. My brother also has one that he uses his MTB with a slick. He's a big guy (over 200) and doesn't have any complaints about the trainer when standing or shifting weight. Hope this helps.
