I was referred to a Glaucoma specialist after my last eye exam. It seems my eye angle is narrow. It should normally be about 40 degrees, where mine is about 15. I know we have some very wise contributors here, hopefully someone has some experience with this that they can share.
My doctor wants to do a laser iridotomy. She recommended I do one eye at a time. Is this the normal approach? Also, one side effect can be a light streak or line in the eye after the procedure. Anyone experience this, and did it get better or worse over time?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have not had this procedure but I suffer from glaucoma and have had many surgeries. One eye at a time is normal. PM me if you have any questions.

Had both my eyes done, one at a time. A good doctor can evaluate your eyes for the likelihood of the white line (something about how much lid cover you have). Mine (with an excellent resume at a great institution) said I was a good candidate. For a while afterwards I got a very slight white line that I noticed only when I was opening my eye slowly and it was evident only when I had glasses on (like it was a reflection in the glass)

When I saw this thread I realized it's been many, many months since I have seen the line, so I had it for several months total. I have seen some of the stories on line of worse versions of this issue and am glad that did not happen to me.

A one time procedure that almost completely eliminates the chances of glaucoma seemed like a really good deal to me and I am glad I did it.

Discomfort lasted a few days and was not too bad.
