How's the cycling in Amish country in and around Lebanon and Lancaster counties? This would for Sept 2015.

Are you looking at day trips, camping, credit card Turing?

Manheim and Bird in Hand, PA.

Just wondering if the riding / scenery is known to be good, interesting, varied, great?

I think so. But I'm a bit biased living here. There's an excellent metric century in Lancaster every summer that rides over a bunch of covered bridges. Not too hilly but there some rollers.
I'd be up for a ride next year.

No real hills to speak of but lots of rolling terrain. Here are some links to check out...

If you're in Harrisburg, head over to Carlsile. The ridges over there have some beautiful roads with stiff climbing.

Mainly rolling hills, but you can find some steep stuff if you want. Low traffic for the most part. Some parts of Lancaster can be congested. Lots of Lebanon county is very rural and IMHO better riding. Good time of year weather wise, typical highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's. There is a good variety of things to see and do. Some decent breweries and wineries if that's your thing.
