Mavic 500 series hubs V. Paris-Dakar

Anyone remember if there was any differences between the 500 series road hubs and the P-D series (the black ones)?

The P-D had a 135 rear axle but other than that (and the black anno) were there any differences? Beefier shell / flanges? Wider flanges?

I can't recall. Getting old...

I have a pair of Paris-Dakar here. I think my rear is 130 mm. I will have to check but I don't think there's much difference other than the finish.

They are the same hub, except for the sticker.
And they were available in black.
