wow.i didn't hear about that crash on the tv coverage..sounds lucky to be alive and also alot like what happened to Davis Phinney @ L-B-L.just much worse

Not sure that's true. The misprint could be that I don't think all the stitches were in his mouth.

According to reports I read and heard this crash was horrific and potentially life threatening. He went THROUGH the back window of a team car and was (I believe) airlifted to Denver.

Glad to see he's recovered enough to consider cycling again. Early prognosis reports were not good either.

That's the first I heard of this. Unbelievable. Glad he's recovering and looking forward to next season.

He's a great kid.
I just got caught up with him the other day, and his recovery truly is nothing short of miraculous. The list of things that happened to him that "kill 92% of victims, and the other 8% are vegetables" is a handful, his injuries were worse than the article mentions.

But, he's the definition of an "unquenchable spirit", check out his blog from previous race seasons if you have any doubt, or like a humorous read. :)

He's back at it, and he hasn't found any limits to his recovery yet... fingers crossed there isn't something hiding in there to come up later.

This is confirmed by his mom, who is a nurse practitioner with decades of experience.

Yeah it sounds like his face and neck were pretty shredded from the glass. That is awful.
