I was wondering abour the group's thoughts about the advantages and disadvantages of the Park and Wheelsmith spoke tensiometers. The Wheelsmith is more expensive than the Park and apears to be harder to read. I have used a Wheelsmith but have only seen pictures of the Park in use.
Which is the more useful tool?
Thanks

I use the Park as a guidline for tension. It is easy to read.

I'm considering the FSA one real soon.

that I've had for years........If i was buying one now, I'd get the Park.....it's much easier to read.

I tried a friend's Wheelsmith. It was a useful tool, but reading the scale required some amount of interpolation. When I purchased a tensiometer, I chose the Park. It's very easy to use, robust, and comes with a tension conversion chart applicable to all current spokes.

I use a Park, easy to read and far less expensive to boot. It allows one to build an exceptionally well balanced, tensioned wheel. Wish I had it when I began to build my own wheels back when disco was king, would have save me a lot of trail and error.
