any guesses what quick-step's strategy might be with two riders absolutely flying? other teams will have to cover any moves made by either boonen or bettini, giving quick-step all kinds of options and tricks up their sleeve. but inside quick-step, couldn't it get ugly? i could see both killer Bs there at the end...like it could have been at last year's worlds, had the italians not bet on ale-jet. boonen looks unbeatable...except by bettini, especially with the climbs at the end of sanremo...or am i smoking crack?

watch for bettini going away with 20k to go with 1 other guy...either he makes it or boonen is there to bring home the bacon

Boonens ego might be too big to let bettini go and risk not winning himself.

A peloton at two speeds?

...not since the only "clean" cyclist retired after the Tour last year...Now they are all at the same speed.....

It could get complicated with Bettini and Boonen both there....but it won't matter after Astarloa takes the race...He is back to his old form this year and the MSR suits him well....

Johan Museeuw, the wasp king? He retired a few years ago, no?

Bettini crashed out of T-A, but he was released from the hospital, no breaks, just bruises.

Boonen has shown that he is more than willing to let a team-mate win if he is 'watched' too intently. NicK Nuyens has won this year by being allowed to attack whilst the peleton watched Boonen.
