I bought an Oval Concepts 730 crankset mainly for the Praxis chainrings included. The crank arms actually look to be decent, so I'm thinking about using them too. However, the crankset did not come with a BB. Looks to be a 24mm spindle. For a standard British threaded BB shell, will something like a 105/Ultegra/DA BB work?

I think the Oval cranks use the GXP system. To be sure you could look at the spec of a bike that comes with them OEM.

I'm quite sure it's not GXP. Sram/Truvativ didn't manufacture for Oval. There seems to be an FSA produced version with FSA rings and MegaEXO BB. Then there's my version with Praxis rings.

This crank came stock on some Kestrels. Their archive says, "Bottom bracket- Oval Concepts Integrated, External Bearings." So, not very informative.

Emailed Oval and haven't heard back. Maybe I should try Praxis too.

If no one knows for sure, I guess I have to try a couple different bb's out...

I stand corrected. Sandy you were completely right. My apologies.

Just heard back from Praxis (boy, they are responsive!):

HI Eugene,
Any SRAM GXP/ISIS2 BB will work....either their regular English Threaded BB or their BB86.

Thanks!
