What would you use it for? I don't see any place for the bike.

Fork mount tray, mounted to the rear roof!
I kind of want one.

No way my mini is small and impractical enough.

$6800? That doesn't seem possible.

It has a small trunk, all I need is a 3D printer:) The bike is definitely something that I'd have to figure out but I have other vehicles around and usually ride from the house
I have like a 60 mile commute, round trip. Tired of burning the gas

Here it is next to an airplane, that must mean that it's much faster than it's 50 hp engine would lead you to believe

The Reliant was a very good car in the UK for a very long time, until people decided that cars needed to be bigger, faster and heavier to drive on converted horse trails.

They serve a purpose, and if that purpose fits with what you want from a car, then have at it.

Would be perfect for me. Would happily spent $10-12,000 on it. Really the exact car I'm looking for.

I've seen the Top Gear videos on that, and you won't catch me within a mile of one of those.

I'm sure it's not fun to drive, but 84 MPG, $6800, 5 star crash tests, and no silly hybrid junk? That sounds pretty great for a daily commuter. It probably sucks in snow, however.

As does the F-35, even with anti-skid turned on.

For the 90% of my driving that goes from home to work! to home .... This would be perfect.

The elio is the perfect car maybe for almost all of the commuters.

Not a huge amount of space, but enough for a moderately-sized grocery run, unless you also need TP and paper towels.
The trunk space will be at least 27″ x 14″ x 10″, enough for an airline carry-on bag or a golf bag with the rear seat down (47″+). If you’re the working type, tools, blueprints, briefcases, and who knows what else can also be accommodated.

Think that's an F-22 in the background
It seems like a good commuter car but it's classified as a motorcycle. Wonder how that affects insurance rates.

You're probably right - the F-22 tails are canted out more than the F-35, and those do look like they're at a greater angle. (I don't know either one very well.)

From the Specs page on 'Why Elio':
It only costs $6,800. That’s about what you would pay for an outboard motor to power a rowboat.
Really? I think I can get the whole deal for that including the trailer...

No way in the world will they be able to sell that for just $6800
No way in the world will they be able to sell that for just $6800
especially when the Cam-Am Spyder goes for $20K+. For $6800 it's worth a go. hope it comes to market. it would work for me. most of my trips are by myself.

I've landed a F-16 and F14 on snowy/wet runways with anti skid and it really works. Just trying to stop straight ahead.

Use the new accessory, the Eliovertheback mat, so the bike fork hangs over like the ones on a pickup truck

I attended a boys Jesuit high school with Paul. He was always a gear-head. Bought his first car, a sweet late 60's Cougar, with $$ from a lawn mowing business he started at age 13 or 14. The Cougar was as far away as one can get from the three-wheeler he's developed.
Digging the concept and the price, (even if it's overoptimistic). Here's to trykes!
