Maybe surpassed. I like what I see.

Whoa. SP just changed the game forever.

No lateral adjustment.
Are they making various spindle lengths like they do for road pedals?

yeah, not really seeing how the design is really any different than SPD... and I'm gonna guess a whole heck of a lot more expensive...

but then, I don't like their road pedals either, so... ;)

Adjustable float and there are two prongs on the cleat for more surface area. Both nice features, but like you said, probably expensive. Spd works fine for me so I don't expect to change.

maybe, but I'm guessing when you're talking about a very negligible difference in the cross and mtb world... I guess the float would be the main difference, but my SPDs seem to have plenty of float anyway... at least for me...

The ability to limit float both directions might be nice, but not worth the cost for my mtb use. Could be a great gravel pedal though.

of course having used them and felt how much more solid they are than SPD, you can call it negligible? :)

These things feel nothing like SPD despite the similar look.

Try and and you'll like em.

If I had new SPD, I wouldnt go buy it, but I would buy this versus SPD head to head with zero hesitation after trying it...

Have you seen and cost estimates? The beauty of spd is the price point vs performance.

my thinking exactly.

no way am i dragging fancy $peedplay goodness through the mud come race day.

I didn't realize SPDs were lacking so much... but I'm not an SPD rider.

So this ISN'T a reinvention of the wheel?

Well that's how we got SPD-SLs, ain't it?

won't know if they are chit until used in heavy sticky mud. that cleat with it's female end looks way problematic. we shall see.

Yeah, I dont know. Not a speedplay fan but that cleat does look like it could be an issue in the mud and ice.

I'm glad someone else noticed this too. First thing I thought when I saw these is how much they reminded me of the old SPD pedals.

Just curious I can't find them, not even on speedplay website.

The pedals would not deliver the authentic Speedplay experience if they could not clog.

Don't know. I was just at interbike.
