Hey guys,
I am a new member here but have been riding for several years. Look forward to being part of the group.

Welcome Shawn :)

The best way to become part of the group is to explain that what you do to maximize chain and cassette life is to rotate about 10 chains through, switching every 200 miles or so...

Oh, and despite what he claims here, Ray does accept FRNs as payment for Handlbra tape.

So, natural or synthetic chamois?

How old is Shawn? ;)

Other than at the car wash, what are the odds that he's even seen a natural chamois? Pretty low, unless he's nearly as old as Dave Thompson...

The big question is, do you hate cyclocross? And if so, do you hate it and do it anyway, or hate it and avoid it? :)

As you can see, Shawn, this is a serious place. My $.02, as Ray would say:

If you want to fit in, use dancing banana gifs.
If you want to alienate yourself, use dancing banana gifs.
Don't discuss politics. It could get you banned.
Don't discuss Lance. It could get you panned.
Don't use the phrase "atmo" out of context.
Don't use the phrase "atmo" in any context unless you are across the hall.
Don't go across the hall.
Don't ask the questions "which is better?" or "what do you think about?" unless you already have a firm, admantine position.
Be prepared to defend that position.
Be prepared to lose that defense.
Don't flip.
If you flip, send some proceeds to the forum.
If you don't send proceeds to the forum, send some proceeds to all members with more than 5K posts.
Never criticize Serotta.
See above.
Cross effin rules.
Or it doesn't.
The Look 585 is acknowledged as the finest riding frame ever on this forum, without question.
Do not question it.
There are a number of oracles on here whose advice is gold. Listen to them and learn.
I am not one of them.

Indian-17, where do you live? What kind of riding do you do? What do you ride?

Welcome, and always put riding ahead of hanging out on bike forums.

According To My Opinion a forumite with 15,000+ posts should know about Velocepede Forum.:)

Welcome Shawn.

If I didn't find my way to this forum, I'd have probably bought a Specialized Roubaix back in 2008 or 2009.

Instead, I own a custom frame from Dave Kirk with hand-built wheels (HED Belgiums laced to White Industry hubs), and a Titanium SweetPost made by Kent Eriksen.

What I'm saying is, the time I've spent here is worth every penny.
