Why hasn't this been posted yet? I'm perplexed at this video. I've probably watched it 2 dozen times. I can't figure it out. It looks like the bike self accellerates and kicks up some rocks off the road.

W t f? they have nothing better to do? The dude was winning the race or something but he is so back that is clear that nothing is going on with his bike nor any of the bikes of the team, the gc guy of garmin don't have legs in this vuelta, they had a motor they should be at least closer to contador.

I assumed it was inertia from the wheel spinning at ~40mph. The last bit of movement is from the motorcycle running over the bike. (Kirby/Kelly talked about this when it happened...Ryder needing a new bike, etc.)

I don't care about the race situation. So let's take Ryder and the entire Vuelta out of the equation then.

It's not clear to me that "nothing is going on with his bike". I'm curious how that bicycle appeared to accelerate after it almost stopped.

Much ado about nothing.

Trek needs better security. Those sneaky Canadians at Cervelo stole the plans for Cancellara's bike.

Much ado about nothing.

That's because Lance has been silent lately and they need something to write about.

Were there any conspiracy theories about Lance? I must have missed the part about him being abducted by aliens, doped to the gills, and dropped onto Mt. Ventoux raging like a bull.

Not abducted....he is an alien.

In the interest of getting to the bottom of this, I'm going to lay the Kirk down at 40 mph on my ride this afternoon, and observe whether my bike moves like this.

I'll be setting up two indiegogo campaigns. one for my medical costs and one to replace my bike. Please contribute to both.

Why isn't anyone asking the most important question? Did the 10k Rca frame survive after the motorbike rode over it?
