Back when Campy first started making Compact cranks, did they make the Chorus as an Alloy set or only carbon? Thanks!

Don't think so. Centaur compact exists though.

I think square taper carbon were the first compact cranks in both Chorus and Record...

Yes, Campy offered square taper alloy Centaur and Veloce compact cranks (110 bcd) in 2005/06. Square tapered Record and Chorus compact cranks were also offered but only in carbon. Good Luck!

If you're not looking specifically square taper, athena 11 comes in the alloy/compact combo.

Yes. I have one that's been used about 50 miles and is collecting dust. I know this isn't the classifieds but if you're interested in details PM me.

Buy Saab's ····. Because he needs to bottom feed for enve tubulars and dura ace. Plus he's a good dude and takes care of his stuff.

If compact and Chorus, carbon only. For square taper and UT.

Here's a Veloce one for cheap. I believe Centaur/Veloce requires 111 spindle length.

And in addition, the Centaur and Veloce square taper compact cranks (non-hidden 5th arm) used a standard 110BCD pattern, so the chainrings are interchangeable with other compact cranks.

Yikes. $150 (including shipping) for an older model Veloce crank isn't my idea of cheap.

... but perhaps the fact that I can remember being able to buy these for $50 a few years ago changes my perspective...
