I was lucky enough to be able to shoot photos a few weeks back for Windham Mountain at the World Cup UCI races at the Catskills ski resort. It was a long weekend, but I had all the access and equipment I wanted and an ATV with driver to run me up the mountain when needed. I had a great time and got some pretty good shots so I thought I'd throw a few up here.
Windham is a neat little town and a nice resort. It's also only about an hour from Albany and easy to get to for MTB or some really good road rides. Hunter is nearby and the (in)famous Devil's Kitchen climb that you may have heard of before. But there's plenty of nice backroads and other great climbing around the area.
As for the races, Saturday was the downhill and these guys--and their fans--are effing crazy. Not other word for it. Enjoy.
