I'm looking to build a 16-17lb carbon framed disc D2R2/gravel/dirt road bike that also wouldn't be out of place on the road in a group ride or century. Along the lines of the new category (some would argue fad) that includes the GT Grade and Giant Revolt. Clearance for X'Plor MSO 700X40mm tires, run the Sugino OX601D crankset with 48/32T, 11-32T cassette with SRAM Rival WiFLi rear derailleur, TRP HY/RD hydraulic road/cx disc brakes, Boyd Altamont Disc wheelset.

I've ridden D2R2 7 times and the inaugural Honey One Hundred on a lugged steel bike, looking for something a bit lighter as I plan to ride more and more dirt road events in New England.

The Asylum Meuse (http://www.asylumcycles.com/bikes/meuse-cx/) came across my radar during my research and I'd be interested to hear feedback from any Meuse owners out there. Thanks.

you should talk to BruceK about the Marin he recently built up just for d2r2, sounds like exactly the bike you describe. just a thought.

Just found it (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=1602909&postcount=93) thanks, I'll ping him.

Meuse is still on my short list, so any feedback would be appreciated.

Niner make a nice bike, too.

I like the Meuse, but I don't understand why they used down tube cabling on a CX bike.
