As many of you have heard, we got a big swell here in southern California. Here's a couple of videos I took this morning at The Wedge, a renowned surf break in Newport Beach. Enjoy!

For some reason the quality's not that great when I share via dropbox. Well, you get the gist.

Crazy to think but by Friday or Saturday we should see similar swells here on FL's east coast because of a hurricane. Surf's up.

Those are some good looking waves. Was there anyone out in the surf?

A ton of body boarders where out as well as a few surfers. It was an amazing site. I wish the video quality was better. There were probably 500 people on shore watching and filming. I'm sure something will pop up on you tube soon.

Bet this is quite welcomed, seems like y'all have had a serious flat spell for a while.
I have to admit when I check the updates and see it is small surf it makes me feel better about being 5 hrs from the water though...
Hope you got to enjoy some of that Cristobal swell!

We have a few waves here and there over the summer, but this is our flat season -- so I never expect much. I actually just got out of the water a little while ago surfing the leftovers. It was fun, but a little bumpier and closed out that I had hoped for...yesterday was better. Here are some local pics from yesterday if you are interested.
