Yeah, it sold for about half what it should have. It didn't help that the messaging around shipping was a bit confusing and that the auction ended on a Saturday Night. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being re-listed.

I put in a stupid low bid for fun, thinking that it would end up far out of reach--and then I get the Auction Ended email, and my jaw dropped.

Probably the closest I'll get to a Pego in the foreseeable future.

Went cheap but would you really want a peg with a 1" ht?

1 inch forks are getting harder to get, good point.

Market is really weird, maybe nobody was looking for a Pegoretti at that minute, maybe next week like 50 guys might be looking for one, so there's a luck factor in there too.

I have one. It hasn't exploded, thrown me off, or even spontaneously turned into a pudding cup or other snack food.

Why not? Great place for a cinelli alter or grammo.

Ah, market driven propaganda.

Cool. Leaves those 'lesser' bikes for the rest of us.

That's almost disappointing.

I had a 1" peg. Sold it. Still have multiple 1" bikes, 1.125 and tapered. You're more affected by marketing than those who ride and decide.

It's a great place to leave that steel Peg fork… It's not going to be a particularly light bike anyway :)

Went cheap but would you really want a peg with a 1" ht?I'd always pick a 1" HT if I had a choice.

Exactly. But that fork needs a stem and the alter or grammo are great candidates.
