On tonight...Check your cable provider.

As a dad of "aspiring young ninjas"....our family has had a lot of fun sitting down and watching this season together. We typically DVR it to avoid some of the inappropriate (for little dudes/chicks) commercials, but my kids are super stoked to see the finals. The course should be amazing.

Good times.

She is BAD!.....meaning good ;)

If you haven't watched....a good representation of the show.

One of these competitors probably has more upper body strength than the tour de france podium, combined.

This is my favorite televised sporting event. I just don't care about pro-sports much anymore - it's rooting for Chevy vs. Ford to me. I can get very excited for someone like Kacey, who is AMAZING.

I like Joe the weatherman to be the first to win.

My wife and our children got me sucked into watching (I like it). That takes some serious grip and upper body strength!

I know Kacy, she started doing Crossfit at my gym before the Ninja warrior stuff. She is as cool as she is bad ass. Tiny little thing too.

I wasn't sure if I should just start a new thread or revive the old one. I'm liking Moravsky to make stage 4 this year. Is it just me, or did they change the spider jump and bring it closer together?

Between Drew, Brian Arnold, Moravsky and Brett someone is getting there.

I think Jessie Graff made my most in love with other than my wife list this year. She's not as talented as Kacy, but her size and power really pushes her through. If you put Kacy's brain in her body...wow.

My kids like it, I have to be honest and say that I can watch one person go through, then I am bored.

She must be a climber, her upper body strength and dexterity are superb. I don't watch that show very often but anytime I run across it channel surfing I really enjoy it. Thanks for the link.

She was a college gymnast at Towson University, she is about 5'1", weighs about 105 pounds and has crazy strength to weight ratio.

It's amazing how powerful she is given her size! I remember when she did the rumbling dice last year...muscular climbing guys were having a hard time moving them. I didn't think she had a chance...but she threw her whole body into it and did it. It's not just her incredible athleticism, she's also tactically amazing, and her cardio/tenacity is insane. She's one of the smartest competitors in approach. She's incredible.

If she had 4 more inches I think she'd win.

I loved watching this with my daughter, although this year we got behind and it's hard to catch up with these two-hour chunks.

I will say that my guy is Isaac Caldiero aka Nin Jesus.
He's a serious badass rock climber just a notch below guys like Sharma and Caldwell from what I gather.
He's got a kind of perfect body for it and freakish grip strength.
This ship may have sailed (Did they show Stage 2 yet?) but he could handle the crazy overhangs that have stopped the Ninjas with lesser climbing skills.

He's a player for sure! He's VERY, VERY good. I think guys like Moravsky are a little better at planning...or maybe they're just more experienced. When you start hitting stage 2 and on, you're on stuff you haven't practiced for as much, and which you're not seeing other guys try. There's less intelligence out there. I think that's where the Moravskys and Brian Arnold's really shine.

Stage two is next week if I recall...they just finished showing stage 1.

It's sad...I'm more excited about stage 2 than I am about the Eagles home opener.

My point is that a truly great rock climber uses brains and brawn--they call them "problems," after all. That's why I like Caldiero. I saw him approach this obstacle in a prelim that looked like reeds. Everyone struggled until Caldiero just danced through it.

I honestly wonder why Caldwell or Sharma don't just take a year off to take their shot at a million dollars.

You could very well be right, and he is one of the best competitors.

one of my friends, Neil "crazy craver" is in the finals...he is an amazing rock climber but they fail to mention that when they do a side bar about him, they focus on his "crazy-ness".
Here are a couple of pics of him climbing at Asheboro NC

Caldiero made a first ascent of one of the hardest bouldering problems in Utah.

But what they focused on was the fact that he looked like, well, Jesus. It's reality tv.

My 4-year-old daughter and I love this show. It's given her a desire to get into gymnastics, which I think is great.

Is he the former BMX guy in the gold shorts? He was fantastic on stage 1.

If they focus on the climbing backgrounds they probably male people think the sport is less accessible.
