He had one bike there, but I could get a good pic of it. He was a pleasure to talk to, wish I could have gotten a picture worthy of his craftmanship.

Show was at the Knockdown Center, Queens. It was an old window factory so tons of natural light. Space has room for the show to grow too.

Is David Perry still behind the show? That man has done so much for cycling in NYC, from his seminal Bike Cult book, to advocacy, to pedicabs, to running his affordable-bike shops. It must be gratifying for him to see the reality of bike lanes, several quality builders, and a show like this happening in New York, after decades of hard work. :hello:

Dave is very much a part of the show- we wouldn't have dared called it Bike Cult otherwise- along with myself and Benjamin Peck who builds as Benjamin Cycles (he made the surfboard bike)

As someone not from NYC, my pilgrimage to his shop was completely the opposite, a disappointment for sure, must have caught him on a bad day... and also one of his mechanics having a similar bad day...
