A friend asked me if I know of anywhere to get deals on fat bike tires...I guess the lbs is too pricey...anybody have any leads??

I've got some used (on snow only so they are like new) Big Fat Larry's in 26 x 4.8" that I'd sell.

Not owning a fat bike I never realized how expensive those tires are. I guess it makes sense with all of that raw material but...wow.

On-One Floaters are the best deal around. $65 shipped/each. Good dirt/snow tread and reasonable weight. I plan on getting a pair when/if my 45Nrth Husker Du's ever die.

The reason for the tire expense (according to QBP, and when Surly and 45nrth were the only players) is that the mold for the tires is $400,000, and it takes lot to recoup that cost.

I have Nates on my Salsa and will have to find something a little less aggressive if I move to VA next year for some beach riding I think...
