Anyone following EBR? I think they've finally found the right V-twin. Still pushing the single front disc concept. Hope they make it.

I've been watching. The sx looks great. I would love to see a cheaper version around 700cc. (Not that I could justify one)

that's a big arse front disc, maybe that eliminates any torque effect of the single.

I've owned both, and I agree!

Never had a buell. Have owned a bunch of motorcycles including a number of ducatis. The single best bike ever was my 2010 multistrada S, probably many bikes perform as well or near as well and are cheaper to own, but that bike was special.

^ I like the Hyperstrada concept, but it has more horsepower than I'd like. I love KTM designs, although their reputation for execution is not up there with Ducati. Seems I have to talk myself out of a Duke 690 every 2-3 days. Terrible.

Duke 690 is awesome as is the smr 990. I would kill myself on a duke690, hard not to want to keep the front wheel up. 990'll scare the crap out of you.

I've visualized it, riding up my favorite hills. That big piston, is like a magnet.

Little brother has a 99 X-1 Lightning.

Way fun to ride.

I can imagine that a motor designed to rev would be more betterer.

Anyone test ride the Bacon Bike (http://money.msn.com/investing/post--a-bacon-fueled-motorcycle-is-sizzling-across-the-us) yet? What's not to love? Two wheels and the sizzle and smell of bacon!:)

Edit: Sorry, missed the link in the bacon thread.

I owned a 1991 RS1200, an original. Only 88rwp after a ton of work, but a whole lotta fun.

I think it's a Rotax engine.

I was at the Laconia bike week, rode my sv650 there for a day trip. Visited the Amsoil booth and they had the fully faired sport version on display with a free chance to win it. So I entered the contest. Totally awesome sport bike and right up there with the flagship Ducati and or the BMW 1000rr in my opinion.

Word going around is the Rotax engine is a Buell design, but *may* be built off an existing Rotax. Not sure which or what.

My neighbor across the way had a Buell Blast up to a couple years ago. Pretty wild looking for what it was. The chopped Sportster engine reminded of the old single lung marine diesels.
