does anyone know when serotta changed from a 1" head tube to a 1.125" head tube on the legend ti? i am looking at a 2002 on ebay and i thought that the 2002 had the 1.125" head tube. seller, who also owns a bike shop, states that the head tube is 1".

4th quarter 2002. I have a Legend that I received in December 2002 that has a 1.125 HT and has a 10th anniversayr (1993-2003) decal. I think I got lucky and got the model change.

As I recall there was a time when you could have had either. I don't think that there was a firm cut off date.

Yep - I had the option on mine but I don't remember what year it was.

As far as the ride is concerned it doesn't really matter--my Legend has 1" O2 fork and it rides great.

I think you can still get the 1" ht if you ask. I checked this out last year on the old forum and found the info from Serotta there.
