On an aluminum Cannondale Slice I'm considering.

If I owned it and got into that situation, I would watch for cracking.

I wouldn't dream of buying into that situation.

I'm still not even sure I would. Not when you can get a clean caad7 for $250 or so.

I would not want alu like that. If it had been steel not a second thought, I once rode a steel mtb for about year, it was a dumped frame that I got up and running where the dumper had gave the downtube a massive battering with a hammer. I dumped it myself because I was bored with but it didn't break.

I wouldn't buy it, but if I already owned it I'd ride it.

I did this when I did this in August 2012. Been riding it alot since without issue.

If you're under say 165 and can negotiate a good deal it would make a suitable throwaway racer or beater commuter. Just keep an eye on it.

Is that blood all over the bike?

Even though I'm sure that dent would hold up just fine I couldn't bring myself to ride it, it would always eat away inside at me!

Yeah, I went a$$ over teakettle down a pretty steep hill but not before grinding my right side into the asphalt. Managed the 26 miles back home ok.

The dent just annoys me cause the bike was perfect beforehand.

If I could get it for about nothing, I might would strip the frame, fill in the dent, then repaint it and ride it.

I wouldn't to anything that would hide a crack. If I got it for free, I would strip it bare an ride it as is.

Ouch and ouch! I say you're one tough mofo being able to ride home like that!
