maybe someone more tech savvy than i can answer this.

when i post pictures here as a link, i have no idea what size they will appear on the screen. for example when i link pics from my blog, they come out huge here. if i post the same pics on other forums, vsalon for example, they come out normal sized, as if the software over there automatically sizes them to fit the screen. is there any way to post URL linked pics with some control over the size?:confused:

You can resize them smaller using some common image viewing software, save, and post the new file.

Here is the text of the link for the above image:

Notice the s1600, you can change this to say s800 and get a smaller image like this:

Not sure if this answers your question, but it is one easy way to manipulate the size of the photo you are posting.

i'm guessing vsalon has a forum plugin that automatically resizes down. i'm active on another forum that has such a thing

No, please don't. 11 inch MacBook Air here, and scrolling over to see the entire image… :crap:
