Testing out a cheap video camera a Vivitar DVR 787 action camera on a ride near and around Lake Merced San Francisco. I got the camera to post videos of some rides in scenic locales of the city. There are some neat roads and trails around the city that I'd like to show. This is not one of them this is just a test. I took more video but the clear plastic case of the camera fogged up obscuring the video towards the end. I have since fixed the problem and will do another test on a ride tomorrow. Heads up this is NOT a Go Pro or Contour, the video camera reflects it pedigree but is fine for my uses. BTW I should add, there was no cross traffic, just traffic coming in at the right,I was able to see way before I entered the intersection that it was clear (no vehicles), not once was a vehicle approaching. I do stop at stop signs if another vehicle is there and I stop (nowadays) at all red lights (fine is too great to take a chance besides wanting to live another day to ride). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=br96IkJnB9s
Test Video#2 For some reason when I edit video to stabilize and fix lighting it gets more distorted . Oh well, you get what ya pays for besides it's a learning process. A few guys suggested to install it on my helmet to get better stabilization, your body absorbs and cushions all those bumps and vibrations flowing through the bike.
