Does anyone know if there's any compatibility issues running a Shimano CX70 crank with a 6800 drivetrain? 6800 cranks in a 46/34 are damn near impossible to come by and the CX70's are cheap and plentiful.

May get some chain rub with that crank, being 10s, chainrings further apart and very positional FDR. No issue with the 46/34, just cr spacing.

This is the exact setup I have on my CX currently. Works great with some very minor rub at one extremem or the other (depending on how you have it setup) 99.7% of the time it is quiet like a mouse.

I run this since I couldnt get the ring combo (44x36) I prefer on the 6800 crankset...yet.

If 170X46/36 will work...

I need 172.5's and the 6800's are priced at a premium now for some reason. 6 months ago 6800 cranks were $215 and now they're $270. CX70's are $170 or less.

Works ok with Praxis "11 speed" rings

I'm going to pull the trigger on the CX70's and if they don't work you'll find them in the classifieds in Feb.

(sweet Moots btw)
