Looking at a reliable floor pump that is shorter than a regular pump but still capable of achieving 100+psi. Found one thus far but it seems to be at the higher end of the cost spectrum:

Lezyne Travel Drive (http://www.lezyne.com/product-fpumps-hp-cnctravel.php#.U90LxPldWGw)

Something half as expensive if not even cheaper would be nice.

Not a floor pump but can inflate to 100 psi.
I use this one for travel.

I have a Lezyne travel pump, and although it is a nice pump, I find the handle a bit uncomfortable.

I have an older model which is really nice for the price.

Exactly like that Lezyne at half price.

It's the same price, but the specialized air tool compak is a travel pump that looks like a child of a silca and lezyne floor drive. It might be good enough for some home use.

Edit:
I didn't know there was a travel version of the steel pump. That looks great for the price.

This is what I use for travel. It does 100PSI with ease and it's my frame pump when I ride. Fits in the S&S case with no trouble. Not quite as nice as a real floor pump but its ability to pump high pressure and come with me on rides makes up for that.

I have this and really like it so far. It is not cheap but seems well made. http://m.specialized.com/us/en/ftb/pumps/floor-pumps/air-tool-compak-floor-pump

How does it compare to say a silca floor pump?

I use my Blackburn floor pump. It's about 15-17 years old, not sure of model (TP3? it was the cheap $19.99 version), but it's my main pump. Good to stupid pressures, both types of valves, very reliable. I strap it to the mounting frame inside my soft bike bag when flying with it, else it sits in the back of the car for regular car-based travel.

This is the one I have. I would warn anybody who is thinking buying one first try to pump up a tire with it. That little handle hurts like a mother after about 70 psi.

I can pack a Silca track pump in my S&S case when I pack my bikes. Problem is it puts it over weight. But I just put the pedals and saddle in my checked bag and it works fine. Alternately, I can put tools and the saddle and pedals in the box and pack the pump in the checked bag.

I use the Lezyne travel pump and have had no problem with it, and I use it often to pump track tires up to 140-160 psi. It's the only pump that I can use day-in day-out with track tires and with latex-tubed clinchers on road bikes. Pumping just gets old and you better have a good pump. This one is definitely worth it. I've tried every travel pump and practically every full-sized pump, and unless you can handle the bulk and the weight of a good full-sized one, the Lezyne Travel is the one to take with you.

I pack the travel drive. Light and makes pumping tires easy.

I have a lezyne mini pump that I pack also that slips in my back pocket.

Topeak Mega Morph Pump works for me. Stays in the car. Liked it enough to get a second one for that stays with other gear for those times when others are doing the driving. Can be found for $50 w/ little fuss.

I recently purchased and traveled with the "Lezyne Steel Travel Floor Drive Pump" and I'm very happy with it. It's not the lightest pump at 2.4lbs but it's a quality pump that's easy to use and fit well inside my duffle bag.
