The Paceline Cycling Cap purchase thread

The cap template has been approved by Walz and pricing has been issued. The final price is $23.60 per cap. That price includes cap, shipping, shipping supplies, $2/cap donation to the site, contribution for Nate/netdewt to get a free cap, PayPal fees and a few other misc fees.

To pay, I have setup a hidden page on my site for this transaction HERE (http://www.recoveredsaddle.com/paceline-cap/). Select your cap size and Add to Cart. It will load up a PayPal cart and you can pay from there. If you want to pay via a different method, please IM or email me directly and we'll work something out. I can take Square or you can mail me a check.

Below is the master list of people who have said "I'm in". If you are not on the list and want a cap, please feel free to use the page and order. If you are not in, I need to know now. If you are in, then I need you to pay. The only way I can get the final counts and sizes is if you pay.

More stuff:
1. It is imperative that I know your PACELINE name and your real name so I can cross reference you to the master list. There is a spot in the checkout flow for you to input it. Please use it
2. I need all of this done by Wednesday August 6 at midnight
3. No refunds
4. It will be 6 weeks from template confirmation with Walz that the caps will be shipped to me. I need another week after that to pack and ship to you.

There should be a text box in the order flow where you can put your name. I labeled it "Paceline screen name" or something like that. But the notifications are displaying "Instructions to seller" or somesuch. You can plug it in there.

A PM is fine as well.

Interesting that of the 14 caps paid for so far, 6 are L/XL.

My hat size is 7 3/8, and while the sizing guidelines say I should get the S/M, will the cap fit tight? I have a few one-size-fits-all cycling caps that I've stopped wearing because they are too small and give me headaches.

I wear a 7 3/8 as well. The Walz I have is a S/M and fits fine but so does the L/XL, it's just got more material. I'd say you could go either way but would not worry about the S/M being too tight.

We can either keep the URL or drop the URL. I'm fine with whatever the mods say. But all the caps need to be the same. If you don't like the URL on the underside, then feel free to use the homemade mod approach.

I tried to style the URL to look nice. Look at the template, not the render. The URL is actually the place you visit everyday, so while not my first choice, it's still nice. You are already a geek for being here so suck it up.

If it does need to change, I think we need to put something there. I'd personally rather have the logo on the bottom than the top, or insert the repeating text pattern I suggested.

At this point I say just leave it.
