$275 sounds about right with everything including wheels if it's truly mint, but that price seems more fair for an STI group. Someone will buy it and they'll get a good-enough deal.

You can buy a complete bike with Shimano 600 for $100 on CL if you look hard enough and act quickly enough, but then again, you gotta have good luck to get those deals.

Why do you have no use for a group on a complete bike?

Bikes with ultegra (0r ulttegra groups do not have same attraction of $$s as others. For my travel and everyday bike Have ultegra on it. Thet are durable butb not loved. AND ghey cost less ans are more numerical. But heavier. I use them with a smile not a resale

I just sold a complete on CL for $260, missing the 600 brakes. Nice frame, but nothing collectible.

I think you're pretty close, Charles. If they are clincher rims and the brake tracks on the rims are not very worn, I'd pay $275 for the complete setup.

I would have to know how much play there is in the rear derailleur. Are you saying the group is cosmetically new and has not had much use? If you can purchase slightly used 10-speed 105 in the $300-400 range why would anyone pay that much for 20+ year old 7-speed?

Because they want it!

certainly...if you're trying to stay period-correct, then certainly worth it. I'd guess that parted out, the OP could get $200 and then maybe $75 for the frame/wheels. In the end, its all good as long its got a rider. Even older bikes need love too!

Missed the wheels part. 600 hubs would roll forever!

I've got an Arabesque group that I was told was a bit collectable and would get about $150 - 200. No wheels though.

the Arabesque group has a classy look to it...seen some crazy prices on the 'bay for that stuff. Not for me, but a Sante' group would grab my attention!

Yeah it is interesting looking for sure. I think they were going for old world classy look or something like Campy NR but over the top with the decor.
