Not finished yet, but Peraud's TT luck is absolutely terrible.

F-ing Phil just compared cycling a TT at the Tour to a round of golf with a little more effort. He was speaking to the mental game, but gosh he needs to be retired.

The margin is so close that even a quick switch might not be enough

It is a great TT for 2-10. Exciting

I agree, TJ's putting in a heck of a ride. May pip Bardet. AG2R needs to replace their tire sponsor.

Yah, I'd like to know what A2GR rides for tires, so I can avoid them.

Looks like Schwalbe, surprising. Those are my favourites.

AG2R - the new Schwalbe One tubulars?

AG2R - the new Schwalbe One tubulars?

You would have to thnk so, those are the flagship product and you would think that is what Schwalbe would want to push.

Be interesting to to see some close up photos from before the stage and see if they were in fact Schwalbe or rebadged FMB or Dugast.

I am just glad a time trial specialist won this, and not a 140 pound uber climber.

Yeah, the 140 pound climber with no TT Palmarés who somehow managed to ride the TT faster than all but one of the various national TT champions who rode the race today.

Makes perfect sense.

A lot of guys with the wrong body can TT just fine, the problem is that this TT was long, not the same a 50km TT than a 10 km one. In the 10 one probably Sagan would have excelled big time for example. The other thing it that if you as a rider in the general qualification are like 2 hours behind w/o a single chance to podium and there is another guy in your team that is top ten, obviously you just do the TT in sightseen mode, and pretty much that's what it happens all the way down from top 20 up to place 200, they can have the legs but if you are not going to win the race and after 3 weeks they dont even bother, thats the reason why some riders go with the regular bike with aero bars, they dont even bother to go with an aero bike, they dont have a chance even if they want to race it seriously. Dunno if you knew that, is always like that no matter if its a long or a short tour.

You might want to add whatever radios and computers Ag2r are using to the avoidance list as well.

"I had no information on how I was going because after two kilometres, the radio stopped working. My computer stopped too, so I had no information," Bardet said.

It must have been very frustrating for him.

Golf is harder than cycling. Real talk.

It does make perfect sense.

Most riders do not ride super hard in this event. Just riders who think they can win the stage or riders who are high on GC.

The strongest rider in the race is going to perform better in the 20th stage TT than in an early time trial. A lot of the riders riding hard were climbers.

Plus look at Nibali on the cobbles. He is just a better rider.

Plus the last half of the route was hilly, advantage Nibbi!!!

Look at Martins TT bike.
58T chainring!! What?! That's really crazy. He was pumping away on that rig like it was a 39T! Pretty impressive.

Lotta legs, not a lot of rpms with the german... cancellara is at the other side... a lot of power and a lot of rpms. That is pretty much the 2 types of TTist and sprinters you can find.

And those were clinchers not tubes Martin was rolling on.

I think it was a PR stunt my Specialized to show off their new tubular...but of course at the last minute TM changed his mind....

I just can't seem to trust anything that company does.
