I found a Ti disc cyclocross bike for my wife. I would like to buy it and have someone install S&S couplers. Any recommendations on a shop close to Denver. We live in Pueblo (2 hours south of Denver).

Or should I box the frame and ship it.

I have a 29 mtb Ti frame that I would like to convert as well.

The top tub is out of round. Can one still install couplers?

I'd reach out to Mark Nobilette in Longmont, CO. He's been in the biz since the early 70's. Seen it all, done it all. Good guy.

If you decide to ship it, Bilenky in Philly did my ti conversion. Nice job & really made repacking easy as they labeled each padded covering so I knew what it went back onto.
And the out of round...my tubes flared so the had to put the couplers in an odd spot.

Also check if the Ti is butted and where as it may create an issue with placing S-S couplers optimally if at all on the frame.

Possible vendors:

daVinci Designs; in Denver, lots of experience with S-S and Ti from their tandam bikes; http://www.mosaiccycles.com/

Mosaic does Ti and S-S, in boulder; http://www.mosaiccycles.com/

Alchemy in Denver, as well does Ti, but not as much experience with S-S; http://www.alchemybicycles.com/
