Can anyone share their experiences buying low cost chains on ebay from China/Taiwan?

I was looking at KMC chains, and the X10SL can be easily had for $35 shipped from Taiwan. That's about as cheap as I've ever seen them anywhere. And there seem to be many listed from about as many sellers. Are these all new take-offs? factory seconds? What's the story?

If you've purchased any of these, might be helpful to know which seller in particular you had a great/poor experience with.

i think they are a little over $40 on amazon, worth it to not have to wait to get it and have CS if the chain never arrives.

Not sure of the KMC model, but I usually buy the 2 pack for slightly under $50. They are fine. Lots of miles. I think most durable chain they sell. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Pack-KMC-X10-93-10-Speed-Bike-Chain-Stretchproof-fits-SRAM-Shimano-Campagnolo-/331255484824?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d205d9198

I just bought that exact chain, and the cheapest price I found (on Amazon) was $43 shipped. I wouldn't order from an overseas vendor just because I wouldn't want to wait 3-4 weeks to get it. For a few bucks more I'll have it in a week.

my first kmc order on ebay was from taiwan. it took awhile to get to me. i believe they are usually from the factory so they don't come with the fancy box. mine was wrapped in a paper bag. now i just make sure when i order, it's from a US distributor. it's about $10 more from a us distributor.

These guys ship quick. Can't speak for all of them but I bought a KMC X11 on amazon and it came from Taiwan. Except it came on the 2nd day via DHL. It beat the package I bought from a seller 400mi south of me on ebay.
