Looking for any input on Gunnar Cross frame...I am unfamiliar with them but understand they are associated with Waterford.

Also looking for any other options that may be out there...Price point <1000.

What size is good for cross if on a stock 58 CDA i.e. using 57.5 TT

They ride really nice. I tried a friend's last fall. I liked the way it handled in the woods. A great deal in my opinion!

I'm on one now as a rain bike and (with different wheels/tires) dirt road bike. I don't have much experience with cross bikes, except an old kona jake the snake which I hated. But I love the Gunnar. Its a real workhorse bike that is built really well, has smart geos, and is a great value... and it has f/r fender eyelets! It has a really nice feel on the road, and I've been riding it on pretty rough logging roads and singletrack descents with no problems. My only complaints are minor... the paint is "average" in durability and theres no drain hole in the BB. I like that it has a steeper HTA and lower BB than some cross designs. The drivetrain feels stiffer than you'd expect for a bike with 43cm chainstays. I would recommend it highly.
