View Full Version : Anyone know how to read fork rake on Alpha Q forks?

All the other forks I've had have the rake noted on the steerer tube label, but my Alpha Q does not. I'm not switching it out, but am curious what the rake is (came to me second hand off a Parlee and now lives on my CAAD9). Is it buried in the serial number or something?

If it is one of the late models (CS-10, GS-20, CX-10, TS-20, etc) you should be able to sort it out at the archive.org link above.

When you look at the fork sticker, it usually has an ID as above. The first part indicates the fork type, the last numbers indicate the wheel size (7xx for 700c) and the rake (44 in this case). Many/most of the True Temper forks were 44, there were a few that were 41.

Alpha Q forks from pre TT days, all bets are off. I have a 1" curved blade AQ Pro with a 42 rake??? Had another with a 38 rake iirc....
