Just found out they brought the 4X Podium Ice insulated bottles back from the dead. Now you don't have to pay $50 for the rare bottle off of ebay. They're still pricey at $25 a pop, but my friends swear by them.

They were nice bottles, but I've since switched to the Insulated Purist Bottles.
BTW, be sure to never wash those bottles in the dishwasher...not even the top rack.

Insulated Purist bottles are awesome!

And water bottles never go in the dishwater.

... and they're on sale for $20 at ACK:

Both are very, very good insulated bottles. I would say they have effectively reached the point of diminishing returns. Best bottles on the market.

Why don't you wash them in the dishwasher?

According to Camelbak: "The Podium® Ice Bottle is dishwasher-safe and easy to clean. Remove the cap assembly, making sure the Jet Valve™ lockout is open, and place it with the bottle on the top rack of your dishwasher. For best results, we recommend avoiding high-heat settings such as 'sanitary clean' or 'heat boost' which may distort plastic components."

Maybe they say it's okay, but the liner in my podium ice bottle distorted and shrank. I had it in the top rack. The bottle still works but the volume is much less than before. Perhaps I should test their lifetime warranty.

The heat of a dishwasher eventually makes it so that the lids of the bottles leak. At least that's my experience. Hand wash with a bottle brush in warm water only.
