Someone, I think Jeremy Roy, was posting his TDF rides on Strava using the iPhone app. Seemed kind of funny, especially on stuff like the ITT.

i get that he could crash, but at least he looks to be alone and on the flats. and it's a closed course.
imo this falls into the lighter side of sports: what athletes do during long stretches of uneventful time. other sports are full of these.

looks like mid-race he couldn't call in a post-race pizza order from his bike computer/integrated phone, and decided to just chuck the damned thing. i can sympathize. when you want a slice, you just gotta have one.

Why would he even have the phone on his person while racing? Will he need to call for a ride if he breaks down? Gets lost?

A number of riders are using / posting to Strava, Terpstra for one. Are they uploading from Garmin after or using phone app?
