What's a good model & source for a plain ol' steel (or alu.) skewer to fit in a trainer like a cyclops or computrainer? Something I don't care about scratching or beating up, but more importantly that the thing be strong and fit the quirky shape of the trainer's axle/skewer holders.

Thanks.

thanks but already got the 1-up stuff. besides, american company, made here, and ironically cheaper than the shimano skewers. what's not to like?

i'm familiar with those, the cam action on the shimano unit is nicer, but of course, the one you bought will work just fine. no worries. :)

Head over to your LBS I am sure they have a couple old ones laying around that they could sell to you for a couple $$. I bought two rusted ones from my LBS for $3 each. They work flawlessly.

No, no. The plastic-covered end nut on that skewer will not work.

OP, get the 1up.
