I started riding on a "flat bar" bike back in 2012 and I "upgraded" to a harem of roadbikes. My first was the Trek 9th District (Livestrong Ed.),

Missing the riding position/comfort and also the feel of the bike.
BMC are basically all out of 2014 Alpen's and I haven't found anything that they will change for '15.. Wondering on input from some of you guys since they come in a internal hub shimano setup or various mountain/roadbike drivetrains.
Obviously the XX1/Alfine11 + Di2 are a little rediculous @ $5k.. but holy ish that bare aluminum frame is gorgeous!!

Probably leaning towards 2nd tear Alfine 11 (cable), or Sram Via-GT since they both have the carbon fork and really only get downgraded in the cockpit items, and calipers.

Now, Anyone know much about the Alfine? Reliable? Heavy? Maintenance needed?
Also the Via-GT is a new drivetrain but I'm sure it would be much better than my Trek's old X7 9spd! ;)
