I did a search and can't find anything. Could someone find me the link to the guy who renovates saddles with new leather/material?

Thanks

He sponsors the forum, so there's a link to him in the sponsors bar, just below the paceline logo. It is a little hard to read in the logo tho.

Awesome, thanks. I'm moving, and just found an old seat with gorilla tape all over it I thought I threw away. Loved that saddle.

This guy is amazing...complete art. But...you'll pay for it. Out the wazoo.

Going to try RecoveredSaddle (when time comes) but have a question for anyone in the know.

Is there benefit to using leather vs faux leather when (re)covering saddle?

Leather breathes better and looks better over the long haul, especially if it gets scratched. You can pm him - jmoore.

Love his work. He's at least 2x more than Recovered Saddles, from what I understand (saddles start around 150), but he'll do stuff that RS won't (e.g., Selle SMP).

Plus he's in Australia, so factor in that shipping as well.

I had him do a saddle & tape a few years back, was north of $500 all said & done. Kangaroo leather, custom-dyed.
But his stuff is amazing.

I'm the guy who does saddles.

Leather is more durable in the long term (>3 years) and looks better, IMO. It's easier to work with as well.

Busyman is a true artiste with his stuff. My stuff is more functional than artistic and there are definitely saddles I won't work on. I'm proud of my work but am happy to refer to Busyman for the things I don't do.

I'm on his Busyman's queue for mid Jan 2015 delivery. I made my inquiry back in Mar so about a 10 month wait. I have Regal saddles and he sources the rivets directly from San Marco so all original stuff. A bit pricey but if you love the classic style with ti rails like I do then it's worth it.

Why can't he make it rain here? My yard is getting trashed by the heat.

I can only make it rain in the PHX metro area apparently.

Darn it! Glad I don't have a lake house.

I got Mick to recover my Aliante back in late 2012 and it was only a 6 week turn around. Obviously word has got around and business has picked up.

I had him re-cover mine in black leather. Plain but looks classic, and looking better the older it gets. . Yes, it's expensive but worth it. And he's a really nice guy too
