View Full Version : Shorter shorts

Instead of going to every shop in town or ordering a dozen pairs online....

Anyone else challenged in thigh length? My medium Primals fit me like knickers. Etc..

I had a few years old Pearl Izumi shorts that were great, if I rolled the bottom once. The bottom was just over a centimeter with a kind of robust elastic and graphics.

Now everything is longer and the bottom inches are tighter Lycra, but not grippy or able to be flipped a little.

I think I may have to go to a small, but that would require losing a bit more weight. :)

Thoughts on shorter shorts?

My Craft are on the shorter side without being trigeek short. I even know where you can get them.

I'm always on the hunt for something a bit shorter. Assos is good at this. Some Castelli run shorter than others (body paint are longer than others, so I'll be unloading mine). Verge is a nice length.

Assos has shorter version for many of thier shorts. Love mine because many other brands run down to my knees. That is a no go for me.

I'm in favor of short shorts on well-assembled females. Guys, run them to your knees.

Bought 2 pairs of Mavic shorts over the winter. They are about 1 inch shorter than the most recent shorts purchases I've made.

I like em.

Try the Sugoi RS (not the RSE as they use the lycra at the bottoms). Inside Out should have some. Expensive but very good shorts.

DeMarchi contour are the shortest I have. Rapha classics are the longest. Also the Pearl Izumi LTD shorts are fairly short.

I like mine all the same length otherwise my tan line gets fuzzy.

I prefer longer shorts, and find the couple pair of Demarchi shorts i own almost too short.

You should try the Rapha classics although the fabric isn't very compressive. I like the Search and State bibs much better. High quality fabric and great construction.

Thanks guys. I'm going to go try on some castelli and sugih locally. Maybe order some Craft bibs. Once I find a pair, I will be avoiding fuzzy tan lines by buying a few. I bought 3 pearl bibs a few years ago, they are all starting to go at once.

I did mean bibs

+1 on the Sugoi -- Kozy's in Chicago has the Neo Pro on sale for $40. Very nice pair of shorts for the $!

Short guy with short legs here...yes, this has been a problem for a number of years now. Guess it's just the style (like basketball shorts) but hard for short lightweight guys with thinner legs.

It's been a few days since this thread was started and since no one else has stepped up to the plate I feel it's my duty to post this:

I'd say...that puts a bow on this thread.
